Instrumental Masterclasses - Registration deadline May 31st 2012
All instrumental masterclasses will take place every working day at the National College of Arts "Dinu Lipatti" - Principatele Unite Street, 63, Bucharest
All participants receive at least 4 lessons á 45 Min.
Free choice of the repertoire for all solo masterclasses.
Course schedule: 9:45-12:45 and 15:00-18:00
Diploma award at the end of the course. The participants have to qualify for the performing in the final concert.
Solo instrument & Orchestra and Conducting Masterclasses
are organized in cooperation with the
National Radio Symphony Orchestra
Piano & Orchestra Masterclass - Registration deadline April 15th 2012
Will be held as follows:
piano solo 3 lessons of 45´ and piano with Orchestra 2 lessons of 30 ´ per participant.
Repertoire list :
all piano Concertos by Mozart and Beethoven, Liszt, Chopin, 1st Brahms, Schumann, Grieg, C. Franck.
Violin & Orchestra Masterclass - Registration deadline April 15th 2012
Will be held as follows:
violin solo 3 lessons of 45´ and violin with Orchestra 2 lessons of 30 ´ per participant.
Repertoire list:
Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Tschaikovsky, Mendelssohn, Bruch, Glasunow, Sibelius.
Cello & Orchestra Masterclass - Registration deadline April 15th 2012
Will be held as follows:
cello solo 3 lessons of 45´ and cello with Orchestra 2 lessons of 30 ´ per ensemble.

Communication – Challenge for todays Conductors
Conductors are mediators between musicians and the composer’s will – not the conductor, but the musicians of the orchestra produce the music.
Young conductors are well trained stick-technique and music skills. But what’s about their ability of communication? How do they speak to musicians, how do they organize rehearsals, how do they deal with all the different characters they meet in an orchestra?
For the first time a conductors master course offers professional coaching. A communication consultant watches the rehearsals, which are recorded on video, in a review the coach analysis lacks in communication but also the “nonverbal” gestures.
Young conductors achieve additional skills which allow them to work on a high level with professional orchestras.
The participants may choose at least 3 pieces out of the following repertoire list :

L. van Beethoven Symphony Nr. 3 E flat-Major „Eroica“, op. 55

J. Brahms Symphony Nr. 1 c-minor, op. 68
E. Grieg „Peer-Gynt“, Suite Nr. 1, op. 46
Piano Concertos: all by Mozart and Beethoven, Liszt, Chopin, 1st Brahms, Schumann, Grieg, C. Franck
Violin Concertos: Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Tschaikovsky, Mendelssohn, Bruch, Glasunow, Sibelius.
Brahms double Concerto op. 102 in a minor,
Beethoven triple Concerto op. 56 in C-Major
The participants have to qualify for the performing in the final concert.
Diploma award at the end of the course.

By submitting the registration form for the masterclass, each participant agrees with all terms of the present regulations:
No participant should be engaged in any other professional commitments during the masterclasses.
Applications submitted without the payment receipt of the fees paid shall not be accepted.
Should any candidate decide not to participate to the masterclass, the payment of 50 % from the tuition fee can be refunded not later than June 7th 2012. Any other later cancellation cannot be accepted.
The application must include the following:
• Curriculum Vitae
• Registration form filled out
• Repertoire
• Bank receipt certifying the payment of the registration and course fee
PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS
All participants will travel at their own expense. Airport transfer is for free. Therefore the participants should send their arrival/departure schedule not later than 20th of july 2012.
The organisers may reserve for 5 EUR/day/pers. Bed & Breakfast in the residencial house of the " D. Lipatti" National College of Arts.
Please notice: there are only shared rooms (4-6 bed) and shower on the floor.
Participants may also obtain, a map of Bucharest with a list of hotels, hostel and lodgings. The reservation and residence is at their own expense. Download
The mastercourses can only take place with adequate number of participants.
The organisers reserve the right to change the order of events and repertoire in the Festival. Any recourse to legal action is precluded.
The organisers also reserve the right of radio and television broadcast. The participants are not entitled to demand any charge for the utilisation of such recordings.
FEES
Instrumental Masterclasses
The registration fee (active & passive) is 50 Euro.
The course fee (active) for the piano, violin and cello masterclasses is 270 Euro.
The course fee (passive) for the piano, violin and cello masterclasses is 100 Euro.
Scholarships offered as follows:
1. Groups of 3 pers. obtain a 5% reduced price from the course fee (active)
2. Participants will send the mandatory registration until 5th of April 2012 obtain a 5% discount from the course fee (active)
Solo Instrument and Orchestra Masterclasses
Combinated course for participants who want to gain experience in playing with orchestra.
The registration fee is 50 Euro.
The tuition fee for the piano & orchestra, violin & orchestra and cello & orcehstra masterclasses is 680 Euro.
For performing in the final concert with orchestra, the participants should qualify and pay an additional fee of 200 Euro.
Scholarships offered as follows:
1. Groups of 3 pers. obtain a 5% reduced price from the course fee
2. Participants will send the mandatory registration until 5th of April 2012 obtain a 5% discount from the course fee.
Conducting Masterclass
The registration fee for the masterclass (active & passive) is 50 Euro.
The tuition fee - active is 890 Euro.
The tuition fee - passive is 300 Euro.
Scholarships offered as follows:
1. Groups of 3 pers. obtain a 5% reduced price from the course fee (active)
2. Participants will send the mandatory registration untill 25th of April 2012 obtain a 5% discount from the course fee (active)

Expenses connected with the money transfer shall be payed by the participants, also in case of back payment.
Your registration will be confirmed per e-mail as soon as we have received all the documents and the fees.
The complex logistics of the mastercourses require timely preparation.
Therefore:
In case of non-participation, the registration fee (50 €) is unrefundable. The tuition fee can be refunded to 50 % untill June 7th 2012. No further later cancellation let alone payment can be accepted.
